blowing the dust off of this

june 2009 was my last post? wow slackerific!!

now whats been going on since the last 3 and only posts! yup lots!!

im still a knitter having tackled Cables, Lace, top down anything and am well on my way to desiging my very first sweater!!

still have to bind off the prototype and add some super cute ribbons on it...but it is done and lots of notes were writted...now all i have to do is work out smaller sizes and have a test group done...

there have been some ups (getting to test knit a new yarn) will blog about that later and some downs (having to rip out several projects that will not be names)

my stash has grown to the point that i need a craft ROOM and not just a closet

im working on it

i shall make a vow that i will knit from my stash until a fair chunk is gone...or there is another sale at the LYS hehehe

Busy Week

It has been a pretty busy week here. i've found a great pattern for my mothers afghan for christmas. so i have been working on that. there will be pictures once the whole thing has been finished. i've also done the R&D on 'daddys' (my DH) but that one is going to take alot long to do simply because i can only do it while he is at work and whle the children are asleep. good thing it is still june :P

other than that there isnt much else to report

A New Craft?

Hola again

yesterday i got my first drop spindle. i managed to create a small strain of my own wool. perfect wonderful sheep fleece. it isn't a task that for me is easily done, with 3 kids running around, one of them just about walking. so that tiny strand is a huge milestone for me. it has also given me a new appreciation for hand spun fibers :) i plan to tackle more at some point today. while thinking how cool would it be to own a wonderful pair of hand spun/handmade mittens? this coming winter my hands will be super toasty warm!!

Welcome to my very First Blog Post!

now there may or may not be anything of real interest going on here for the next few moments but i do promise to update this as much as i can remember. i will try to post cool shit i find on the web to help cure boredom, i'll even try to organize it so you can find your own personal interests. (as soon as i can figure out how :P)
